Abstract
Do you know why Nigerian democracy has been faltering and unstable? Do you know why we have been riddled with insecurity and corruption since 1999? Do you know why our Standard of living and quality of life have not leaped forward in spite of two decades democracy rule? Do you know why it was possible in 2015 for Nigerian electorates to remove a sitting government? This book takes you deep inside Nigerian politics since the dying days of the General Sani Abacha regime in the late 1997. It x-rays the transition programme of the General Abdul Salam Abubakar regime showing how it created the Obasanjo presidency in 1999. It also gives you an insight into not just the deep seated challenges of democracy governance in Nigerian but also the problem associated with the absence of political parties based of principles and programme. This includes not just the papers and speeches of M.D Yusuf but also his letters, part documents and the manifesto of his 2003 presidential campaign.
Read this book to understand the wisdom, vision and comprehension of Nigerian and international politics by M.D Yusuf.
