Abstract
Perspective on National Security and Terrorism dwells heavily on how the issue of terrorism is tackled globally. Terrorism as a matter of fact, is not restricted to any particular area. The book extensively explains the Nigeria phenomenon of Boko Haram insurgency. it gave an insight into Osama Bin Laden’s ascendancy and later craving to use Islamic rule to counter western influence. Studying the issue of National Security and Terrorism in depth as done in this book is the most appropriate approach to curtailing its menace. Educating the citizenry on what is and should be done is sine quo non to stamping out the evils of terrorism. in the book, readers are made to understand the primary causes of uprising by militant groups in various parts of the country. This knowledge would no doubt, help to map out strategies to overwhelm the sponsors and brains behind such groups. The book recommends that the Nigeria State should continue her ongoing military action against the Boko Haram while not forgetting the economic development angle.
