Abstract
Terrorism has assured a global dimension and is a threat to the corporate existence of any Nation. Over the year, terrorist attacks had been recorded in many Nations of the World: the most prominent was the September 11, 2001 attack of the World Trade Centre in the United States of which the Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility. In Nigeria, the spate of terrorism is on the increase too. Terrorism remains a critical act and should be treated as such. it cause damage to public property, in endanger lives of the civil populace; it causes damage to public offences which deals with arms, ammunitions and weapons of mass destruction(WMD). Therefore, the book has examined the Nigeria and global dimensions of terrorism as well as provide a long list of measures for prevention and commitment of Terror as issues worth considering for future policy-making in Nigeria’s, the effectiveness of such measures would ultimately depends on what one knows of Nigeria ambient environment in the light of other available studies. This work however, provides a useful staring-point for an adequate comprehension of all relevant challenges and responses to the ever-present threat of Terror by all its actual and potential victims. We all must unite to fight terrorism. Democracy can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere.
