Abstract
This book provide a comprehensive analysis of the nature and dynamic of vulnerabilities of women and children in conflict and post-conflict situation in Nigeria.
Divided into eight chapters the various contribution in the volume explore the causes and main perpetrators of violent conflict, the socio-economic effect of violent conflict on women and children, and various strategies that can be adopted to overcome the vulnerabilities of women and children especially in post conflict situation.
A part from mapping the social vulnerability of women and children in conflict situation, the book also situates their experience within a broad socio-political analytical framework as a necessary step for wider applicability of policy outcomes. It is indeed an important compendium for researchers involved in conflict studies, gender studies, as well as policy makers of all levels.
